Front Range Objectivism Groups
- FROST (Front Range Objectivist Supper Talks) brings nationally known and respected Objectivist speakers to Denver for delicious dinners and stimulating lectures on a variety of topics several times per year. Recent lectures include David Harriman on "Isaac Newton and the Inductive Method," Robert Mayhew on "Humor in The Fountainhead," Yaron Brook on "The Morality of War" and "The State of ARI," John Lewis on "The Failure of Homeland Defense" and "For the New Intellectual: A Study in History," and C. Bradley Thompson on "The New Abolitionism: On Separating School and State." Anyone is welcome, including people unfamiliar with Objectivism.
- FROG (Front Range Objectivist Group) consists of two separate discussion groups that meet monthly in members' homes. In meetings, one or more members lead a discussion on some aspect of Objectivism, usually using some Objectivist writing as background. The original group (1FROG) has been meeting for 20 years; it is currently at capacity with about 20 active members. A second group (2FROG) was created in December of 2004; it is rapidly filling up. FROG members differ in the depth of their understanding of Objectivism, but all are committed to understanding and applying the principles of Objectivism in their own lives.
- FROLIC (Front Range Objectivist Laughter Ideas and Chow) is a social group which meets at least once per month for Sunday Dinner at a Denver-area restaurant. Other fun events may be scheduled according to the wishes of members. All friendly people with a serious interest in or honest curiosity about Ayn Rand's philosophy are welcome.
- FRODO (Front Range Objectivist Discussion Online) is a mostly unmoderated e-mail list for discussion of Objectivist principles and practice, politics, culture, art, and more.
- Also, the University of Colorado at Boulder has a Boulder Objectivist Club. The club meets every other week in the evenings on the Boulder campus. Contact Jim Manley at jim.manley@objectivistclubs.org to join the mailing list.
