E-mail Lists

All of Front Range Objectivism's mailing lists are hosted on Google Groups. That platform offers all the traditional functionality of a mailing list, plus a web interface. Use the links below to subscribe to FRO's mailing lists or to modify your existing subscriptions.

If you have any problems with the FRO mailing lists, please contact FRO's List Manager, Doug Krening, at doug@frontrangeobjectivism.com.

The List of FRO Lists

FRO lists open to anyone:

  • FROST: For announcements of FROST Supper Talks and other major FRO events. (About FROST)
  • FROLIC: For invites to the FROLIC Sunday Dinners and other social gatherings. (About FROLIC)
  • FRODO: For friendly online discussion, sharing of values, and activism alerts. (About FRODO)

Lists for members of the FROG Objectivism Study Groups. They require an invitation to join.

  • 1FROG: For members of the 1FROG Objectivism study group.
  • 2FROG: For members of the 2FROG Objectivism study group.
  • 3FROG: For members of the 3FROG Objectivism study group.
  • 4FROG: For members of the 4FROG Objectivism study group.
  • 5FROG: For members of the 5FROG Objectivism study group.
  • FRO Leaders: For FROG members willing to take an active part in shaping the future of FRO.

FRO lists for the Atlas Shrugged Reading Groups. These groups are concluded, so their lists are closed to new members. Join the FROST e-mail list for announcements of future ASRGs.

You can see all the FRO lists to which you are subscribed at groups.google.com, provided that you are logged in and subscribed via your Google Account.

How to Subscribe to a FRO List

Click on the link to the list to which you wish to subscribe. (You may need to sign in to your Google Account. If you do not have a Google Account, see the instructions for creating one below.) Click on "join this group."

Choose how you wish to receive list e-mail and type in your real name. If you have multiple e-mail addresses associated with your Google Account, you can select which e-mail address to use for the FRO list. Then submit the form.

You should be subscribed -- and in the web interface of the Google Group.

How to Create a Google Account

Go to Google's New Account Form. Follow the instructions to create an account. If you like, you can associate a non-Gmail e-mail address with your Google Account, then use that address to subscribe to FRO lists.

Once you've created an account, follow the instructions above to subscribe to the FRO lists of your choice.

How to Send E-mail to a FRO List

After you are subscribed to a FRO list, you can send e-mail to it using the address listed on the main page of the Google Group. (Only the managers of FROST and FROLIC have permission to post to those lists.)

Please note that you must send e-mail from the address that is subscribed to the list. Also, in replying to messages from FRO lists, "reply all" will send your reply to the whole group, whereas just "reply" will send it privately to the person to whom you are replying.

How to Unsubscribe from a FRO List

Click on the link to the list to which you wish to unsubscribe. (You may need to sign in to your Google Account.) Click on the "unsubscribe" button.

The FRO E-Mail Lists are overseen by Doug Krening (doug@frontrangeobjectivism.com). Please contact him with any problems, questions, or comments about the lists. He can manually subscribe or unsubscribe you if all else fails. Also, you can also find answers to many basic questions about Google Groups on on this page.
